Something in Common (SIC) founder, Galia Pennekamp, holds the unique ability to understand the financial needs and constraints of non-profit organizations as well as the desires and motivations of donors. This enables her to offer time-saving strategies and create meaningful and sustainable partnerships among the best non profit organizations and philanthropic leaders.
Galia launched Something In Common Consulting in April 2019. Over the past three decades, she has helped achieve transformational change through leadership roles in development and external affairs for several non profits, including Breakthrough Miami, Informed Families, the Florida Family Partnership and The SEED School of Miami.
Galia has also served on the Junior League Foundation Board, Arsht Families, St. Hugh Catholic Church Parish Council, Association of Fundraising Professionals Board and has been an active supporter for several other non profits including Thomas Armour Youth Ballet, The Miami Project and Kristi House.
SIC Philanthropic Consulting offers services including advising and educating donors about non-profit organizations; advising individuals and families on how to create unified strategies for philanthropic efforts; helping donors identify values, set goals and measure impact; and helping donors becomes more engaged and satisfied.
As your philanthropic consultant, Galia serves as your eyes and ears when she visits programs, interacts with program recipients, and liaises with organizational leadership. Based in Miami, FL, Galia works with organizations internationally.
